Arron was born in Prosperpine and grew up there until he left school. He worked in many places in the bush, in sugar mills, cattle stations and building sites. He also spent a lot of time drinking in parks and on river banks. At the age of 25 he prayed to God to get him off the grog. When he stopped drinking he started writing poetry. Now Arron lives on Palm Island and works for the Council.
