Leigh always wanted to be a writer and loves drawing, especially enjoying the colours. She wrote and illustrated this story when she was 14. Now she is a 26 year-old woman living in Townsville with her Indigenous partner and kids. Recently she decided to pursue publishing her work as the impetus also comes from her growing children (who like bright colours too). She wants to show children that nothing can stop them doing anything they want to do. “You’ve only got to put your mind to it.”
